14. The Parish Church of Saint Jelena Križarica (Helena the Cross Bearer)

With its bell tower, it dominates the town. It was built on the hill 377m above sea. It has three naves today although it only had a single nave until the 17th century. In the 18th century, it was redecorated in the baroque style with lush interior (its most important parts being the Corinthian bench and kneeling desk, baptistery and the 17th century silver candlesticks). Very interesting are the drawings with the motif of The Ten Commandments illustrated above the pillars between the main and the side church nave. Alongside the church there is a 32m high bell tower built in 1724 with a stunning view that stretches over the Kvarner Bay and Mount Učka.
